When night rolls in on the city of Villedor in Dying Light 2, the small pockets of humans left retreat indoors, protected by UV lamps. However, players shouldn't feel compelled to play by the same rules. Nighttime is full of opportunities for anyone looking to earn a ton of crafting supplies, valuables that can be sold, XP, and more. Here's what you can do at night in Dying Light 2.

While the infected largely stay indoors during the day, they're out in greater numbers at night. However, that also means that their nests, packed full of valuable loot, are ripe for the picking. Called Dark Zones, these areas still have to be approached with a reasonable amount of caution, but can leave you with a wealth of crafting supplies and more.

Dark Zones are often packed with supplies, valuables, and Inhibitors, along with resting zombies. You'll have to sneak past them unless you want to get into a close-quarters fight with five or more of the infected. You can quickly unaware infected enemies with takedowns, though avoiding them entirely is your best bet. But most importantly, you'll have to be quick whenever you're inside a Dark Zone. While there aren't many undead inside at night, once it turns day again, they'll return, making escape nearly impossible without combat. Be sure to get out of a Dark Zone before the sun rises again.
